In 2001, SMA led the way in e-commerce by enabling our
customers to transact business with us electronically. Things have progressed
since then…This enhanced website is a result of feedback from our customers over
the past 5 years, as well as advances in e-commerce. We are very excited about
the online tools SMA now offers. We’ve made it easier than ever for customers to
do business with us.
As a customer, this enhanced website not only enables you
to enter orders online, but it also allows you to access other services that SMA
offers as well…
For example, customers can access any of their SMA
invoices, as well as statements. A customer’s complete order history is
available, whether the order was phoned in or sent in via the website. The
information is all there, online. You can even track UPS shipments and get proof
of delivery, all online.
Customers who receive special pricing on certain products
can see their pricing when logged on to the site. And customers that prefer to
use their own specific part numbers can make inquiries and place orders with
those unique part numbers as well.
While this enhanced site is available now – please be
mindful that future enhancements are coming. We will be constantly adding
product images, for example. And the accessibility of the online catalog will
evolve so that customers can “drill down” into our catalog in greater detail.
However, the website is fully functional and all of the
products that are available in your local warehouse are currently available and
ready to order from this website today! Parts can be searched for (and
purchased) using SMA part numbers, supplier part numbers or even many commonly
used trade numbers and OEM part numbers. You can find items by searching on a
Supplier name, such as “Timken” or a description such as “disc” or even
partial part numbers and descriptions as well. And if that is not enough, you
can use the advanced search tool to run complex searches into the product
database. But please be patient as we continue to expand the online catalog to
give you even more ways to find the items you need in the quickest and easiest
way possible.
